19. Redefining intensity

HAVE YOU SAVED YOUR SPOT IN THIS SATURDAY’S SPRING SANCTUARY ON sunday, may 7th?

Dominant culture’s intensity is running us into the ground.

In western culture, intense and intensity are what show your level of commitment, determination, focus, and probability of success. They’re also what stands in our way of some connection, grace, compassion, flexibility, problem-solving, creativity, rest, a regular practice of pranayama and meditation, and so much else.

In this episode, the shit we need to talk about is: reevaluating and redefining our relationship to intensity because our well-being depends on it.

We also discuss two of Yoga Philosophy’s Niyamas (ethical behaviors towards ourselves) to support us in this shift:

  • Tapas (fiery discipline)

  • Svadhyaya (self-study/self-reflection)

So… what if you reevaluated and redefined your relationship with intense and intensity? This is really important because we are in the 4th month of 12 in the year - we need to be sustainable and sustained for the rest of the year!
